geesh, I farm. I wear shorts all the time. Just don’t run through any of the 8 rotational grazing pastures for the goats. You will regret it when you hit a wild rose bush and you will hit one or two right after you run through some blackberry vines. That is what my goats eat. At the local livestock auction in summer it seems to be fashion standard to wear shorts and muck boots or for the big fashion statement for the young girls, short shorts and cowboy boots or muck boots. I like wearing flip flops and shorts, I don’t operate a farm, but our large yard and many animals require daily upkeep and maintenance.So shoes are worn when yard is dry and sandy with lots of animal poop and urine . But Sandals let our feet breath and a quick change before going inside our clean home . My female partner appreciates the cool looking clean sandals . I am a person that always wears shorts too, .
