We may have an official live goat cam going for Goat Week, but that’s not the end of our goat video coverage. For Goat Week, Modern Farmer is teaming up with Directr, a super easy way to make videos on your smart phone. And by videos, we mean the best kind of videos: goat videos. We want to see frolicking goats of all kinds — urban goats, petting-farm goats, working goat farms.
And so Directr has created a special template to make capturing your goats’ special moments — eating all sorts of crazy things, nimbly climbing on top of fences or tables or cars, head butting each other, etc — especially easy. See instructions for downloading the app and making your own goat-themed video below. Send them to us (edit@modfarmer.com) and we’ll post a roundup of the best on Friday.
To start us off: Here’s our first video, featuring Janet Kern of Lexington Community Farm Coalition at Busa Farm in Lexington, MA, and a herd of very cute goats.
How to use Directr (available for all Apple “i” devices) to make your Goat Week video:
To get started, just download Directr from the App Store.
To shoot your movie:
1. Tap the Purple Plus button at the bottom of the screen
2. Look for the Goat Week category or Search “Goat Week”, then “Direct It”
3. Start filming your goats!
4. When your movie is finished, tweet or email us the link, and we’ll include it on our Goat Week site.
If you need help, email help@directr.co
That’s it! We can’t wait to feature your goats.
