The (Second?) Greatest Baby Goat Story Of 2014

A little bleat and greet.

Warning: baby pygmy goat in picture may be even cuter than he appears.

Meet Benjamin, an orphaned pygmy goat and the cure for all holiday stresses that ail. Benji, a twin, was abandoned by a mom unable to take care of two kids at once. So he sought and found a surrogate: Tom Horsfield, a nursery worker in Pot House Hamlet in the UK.

Benji is so devoted to his adopted human brethren that he follows him to work every morning. And as we all learned earlier this year, these guys tend to two-step (four-step?) through life. Which means that when Benji trails Horsfield, he doesn’t stroll — he hops. (You seriously might not be able to stand more than five seconds of the video evidence — the cuteness is just that excessive.)

At all of five weeks old, Benji is still dependent on bottle feedings, which Horsfield faithfully delivers five or six times a day. But if Benji is still feeling a might peckish, he supplements the dairy with nibbles of nursery flowers. (Why stop to smell the roses when you can eat them too?) Eventually he’ll retire to the countryside to graze with all the other standard-issue goats, but meantime Benji basks in the adoration of nursery visitors and his devoted Twitter followers.

So the question becomes, does Benji beat Frosty for the most heartwarming baby goat story of 2014? We are too frozen by adorableness overload to say — watch both videos back to back and then make the call yourself.
